We had great fun at this trials. There were numbers events besides the dog trials,
from yard sale to a petting pen and dog micro-chipping, and even a chicken race.
There was a very big turn out by FFA/4H kids.

Ruth and me would like to thank Kathy Knox for coming to put on
the Clinic for us, and sharing a bit of her knowledge, and a few
stories with us all!

We would like to thank everyone that came and participated in the
clinic. I hope you all enjoyed it and picked up a few new things, I
know Ruth and me did.

It was very much a laid back clinic, and I felt like Kathy did a very
good job in addressing everyone’s questions.

Grady County Fair Sheep Dog Trial

Hi Folks, first let me say,"Thank You!" to Josh & Jeanna Baxter for hosting a fun and challenging trial!
If you were not able to be there, then you missed a fun and challenging trial, and just a beautiful
evening, I hope you try to make this trial next year.
CHALLENGING COURSE & SHEEP!  We took Cap, Blaze, Susie, Jackson, BB, and Katie. Blaze &
Jackson keep us from getting shut out at this trial.

Celtic Festival Sheepdog Trial

Although a little warm inside the indoor arena, we all had a great time and look forward to next year.
A special thanks goes out to the Celtic Festival in Stillwater for hosting this trial. The Barretts worked very hard
to organize this trial and did a wonderful job. Thanks Bob Brown for judging our Nursery class. Thanks also to
everyone that
took turns helping keep time and scores, and everyone that came and participated in the trial.
We hope it gets bigger and better next year. See ya a Grady County Fair.

Duckhead Ranch Cattledog Trial
09/19/09
What a beautiful place to have a dog trial. Thank you so much to Mike Minor. The scenery was gorgeous and the weather was perfect. The cattle were fresh,
but manageable and nice to work. The course was challenging with a creek as a natural obstacle. The dogs had to cross the creek to fetch the cattle and bring
them back across. There were a few dogs that hesitated and weren't sure what to think about the creek at first, but they all conquered it and showed what these
dogs are all about. Thanks to everyone who pitched in and helped out at the trial. I sure hope this trial can become an annual event!

Well we pretty much got shut out of the buckle round. The first go was for the fair buckle, Blaze was 5th in her class, Jackson 5th in his. The second go was
a club thing, Blaze was 3rd in her class.

King Family Cattle Dog Trial
Sept. 26/27/2009

An era came to a end this past weekend, this was the last year for the two day King Family Trial. Jack's trials have become the start of fall in this part
of the world. This was truly a family event, Jack and the boys handled the trial, and the women prepared all the meals, and their feeds would rival
anyone's at any trial.

We were almost shut-out, all the dogs that we took worked will, and completed the course, but were just not quit fast enough. On Sunday BB came
through and won the Ranch Class.

Cap, was second place at this trial. This being the last OSDA cattle trial of the year, he
may have enough points to win Dog of the Year again for cattle. We'll just have to wait
for the year end meeting to find out the official results. :)

OAKTREE FALL CLASSIC - SHEEP Dog TRIAL

WELL, the first Classic is in the books and we felt like it was a successful first year trial. The attendance was lower than we had
hoped for, BUT the fun and fellowship was all we could have hoped for. New friendships were made and old one rekindled. The
stock work well and were very equal for all, and the-set out boys did a very good job in trying to give everyone the same set-out.
The Washington County 4H girls had the concession stand (the brownies were worth coming for!!!). We want to thank Dean
Bridges for doing our Sunday devotion. We want to thank everyone that made the effort to attend, and we want to Congratulate
all the winners.

WE HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GOOD TIME, and "WILL COME BACK and PLAY DOGS WITH US".

Southwest OK Stockdog Trial Results

We had beautiful weather for the sheep trial and the course & sheep were very
challenging (the trial course was on scale size of the National Finals course, but
it was on a old cotton field with terraces and gravel roads and pools of water
between many of the terraces---it was tough!!!). Due to several unfortunate
events on Sunday, we had to cancel the cattle trial. Thank you everyone for all
the hard work that it takes to put on a trial!

Washington County Junior Stockdog Trial FFA & 4-H

We had a great trial, and everyone had fun! The weather was beautiful, the sheep were a challenge for dog/handler both. There
are so many people that make this trial a success each year, but I'd like to thank three people. Dr. Bill Fesler for the free use
of his ranch & facilities, Floyd Overton for furnishing the stock, and to Dr. Ruth Thompson for her continued sponsorship. We
had folks from 5 states come to support the kids, and help raise $1300.00. :)
